A lentivirus is capable of integrating in the host chromosome without cell mitosis. Lentiviral transduction results in long term, sustained transgene expression. Lentivirus infects a broad array of species and the most resilient cells; quiescent, non-dividing as well as dividing cells. Lentiviral transduction has a greater than 95% transgene expression efficiency. The Primary transfected cells can either be used immediately in vivo or monoclonal stable transfectant clones can be selected. Our Custom Transfection Service Lab can generate stable monoclones of “Your Cell Lines” in 4-6 weeks.
